Jon is a MCA Master 200 and OOW 500 Unlimited and has been delivering RYA and MCA Training Courses for several of the UK's leading training providers for many years.
Jon is the Founder of JuniorRIBsters, a Youth Powerboating organisation and also of Harbour Sea School.

I have just completed my Yachtmaster Offshore with Jon Geddes and Southern Sailing and have had a truely excellent experience. Working with Jon Geddes as an instructor for the Yachtmaster Offshore course was thoroughly enjoyable and educational from the word go until the day of our departure. There were three of us on the practical part of the course and Jon's first intention was to break the ice and bring us together as a crew, this was achieved almost immediately which helped us all work together as a team rather than individuals. Jon makes sure by the time the exam comes round you know what your talking about and your boat handling skills are to a high standard. He conducts a mock exam followed by a one on one discussion with the student to iron out any weaknesses and gives the student the confidence required for the final exam. He covers every area of the course in depth and emphasizes the importance of the rules of the road. I would highly recommend Jon to everyone in the future, he may be a young instructor, but take nothing away from Jon he knows what he is talking about, he has a desire for the industry like no other and takes great pride and satisfaction in teaching his students. Jon is the instructor I will be calling up when I am ready to take my next steps in the industry.
